JOMA loves Residential remodels. JOMA is best at Residential remodels. JOMA Residential remodels are in demand and that is why JOMA is Athens’ Remodeling Specialist. 

We are grateful for all of our wonderful Commercial clients and we have been a part of some exciting and impactful projects in our area, but 2022 is bringing some changes.  Starting next month JOMA will be Residential-only.  If you are considering a kitchen or bathroom remodel, an in-law suite, a finished basement, or an accessory structure (garage, AirBnB-rental, office, etc) then give us a call.  We are staffed up and ready to make your dreams come true!

Survey Results Are In 

Thanks to everyone who responded to our survey in the last JOMAil (if you missed it please click HERE, we still want to hear from you).  Your input is helping us refine a program that will not only help future JOMA customers, but ALL remodeling customers...everywhere!  We have been working on this development for almost two years and we are excited for a 2022 launch.  Keep an eye out for more to come.

How about a 2022 LOCAL building/remodeling resource guide (FAQ)?

Remodeling, additions, and accessory structures mean navigating local (county-specific) ordinances, as well as state, and national building codes.  And we hear a lot of the same questions: Can I replace my windows if I live in an historic district?; Is my septic big enough to add a bedroom?; What is a side-setback? 

Our question to you is: would a searchable database of the most common construction questions that we hear be helpful?

Do(nate) the Right Thing
As part of the 2021 JOMAdvisory Initiative, the JOMA team is setting up a food and supplies drive here at the office. Our “Do the Right Thing” sub-group has taken the lead on this quarter’s project, which entails serving the Athens community over the holiday season. We will be collecting various food and cooking items to benefit the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, and we will also be collecting toiletries, blankets, and other useful items for Operation Open Hearts Open Hands (located here in Athens). If you would like to donate, please swing by the office with your contribution during business hours.

Two-Time Award Winning Historic Courthouse. Will it be 3?

That’s right! Our recent build at the Jackson County Historic Courthouse won the NARI-Atlanta Contractor of the Year Award for Commercial Interior Renovation. This project was featured in our last JOMAil for receiving the ACG Award in Construction Excellence. We have completed the submission for the National NARI Awards and you can see the submission packet HERE! Prepared by Carley Reeves.
